President Jokowi: TNI Commander Exposed To COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, was exposed to COVID-19. This news was conveyed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the opening of the TNI-Polri Leadership Meeting held at TNI Headquarters today, Tuesday, March 1.

"Commander of the TNI, this morning was represented by KSAL, because this morning he had just contracted COVID," Jokowi said in his remarks.

Meanwhile, Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral Yudo Margono, who represented Andika Perkasa, said that there were 166 TNI-Polri High Commanders who were present face-to-face. While the virtual attendance reached 266.

"So the total number (in attendance, ed) is 392 Pati TNI-Polri this morning," he said.

"We are very proud, and thank you profusely for taking the time to attend and provide supplies to all of us," added Yudo.

The TNI-Polri Rapim for the 2022 period discussed a number of things. Present at the event, the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who together with Yudo Margono, will provide a briefing in front of high-ranking TNI-Polri officers.
