SOLO - President Joko Widodo delivered the body of his uncle Miyono Suryosardjono to his final resting place at the Mundu Family Astana family cemetery, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java.

The late Miyono passed away at 19.50 WIB, Sunday, February 27 at the funeral home on Jalan Ahmad Yani, RT 02/RW 02, Manahan Village, Banjarsari District, Surakarta City.

Sigit, one of Miyono's sons-in-law, said that while still alive Miyono had contracted COVID-19. In addition, Miyono has also been suffering from lung disease for a long time.

"The old one, my father had lung disease, then he got COVID-19, so maybe this is long covid. So maybe these are remnants of the disease that are still in his body," he said as quoted by Antara.

However, he confirmed that when Miyono died, he was negative for COVID-19.

"Yesterday, when the president came to visit, he still had time to wake up, he had his swab taken, the result was negative," he said.
