Search For Sriyanto Who Fell In The Opak River, Yogyakarta SAR Team Deploys Hundreds Of Location Combing Personnel

YOGYAKARTA - The Yogyakarta Search and Rescue (SAR) team is looking for Sriyanto (37), who is suspected of having fallen while fishing in the Dadapan River Opak Dam, Wukirsari Village, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, on Tuesday, February 22.

Public Relations of the Yogyakarta National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), Pipit Eriyanto said the victim fell at around 16.00 WIB.

"Chronologically, the victim Sriyanto fished around the Dadapan Dam from morning, but until evening the victim had not returned, the family had searched the location and had not been found, only the victim's bag was found under the Dadapan Dam and a motorbike," he said in a press release in Yogyakarta, Antara, Wednesday, February 23.

A total of 40 joint search and rescue personnel carried out a search operation on Wednesday morning to search for and then increased to 94 personnel in a search operation Wednesday afternoon.

"The morning search was divided into two SRUs (search and rescue units). The first SRU, with a strength of 20 personnel, carried out a sweep around Dam Demi, Wukirsari with the body rafting method using a hook tool," he said.

Then the SRU, with a force of 20 personnel, carried out a sweep around the Dadapan Dam, using the aqua eye scanning method, under water drone sweeping, and body rafting using a hook tool. But until 12.00 WIB the results were nil.

He said the search was continued by noon by dividing into five SRUs, first with a force of 25 personnel, conducting a body rafting search on the east side of the river from the Demi-Pasar Animal Dam with a distance of approximately three kilometers.

The second SRU, with a strength of 25 personnel, carried out sweeping the west side of the river using the body rafting method, from Dam Demi to the Animal Market with a distance of approximately three kilometers.

Furthermore, the third SRU with a strength of 20 personnel carried out a sweep around the Dadapan Dam, using the sonar aqua eye method, under water drone body rafting with the Gancu tool.

Four SRUs with a force of 10 personnel carried out a sweep of the Tegal Dam heading upstream to the Barongan Bridge for approximately two kilometers using aerial drones and remote boats.

And SRU five with a strength of 14 personnel carried out river sweeps using two LCR boats from Barongan Bridge to Tegal Dam for approximately two kilometers.

"The results of the SAR operation until 17.00 WIB are still searching with no results," he said.
