PDIP Mention Two Conditions To Be Head Of The IKN Authority, Bambang Susantono Eligible?

JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia from the PDIP Faction, TB Hasanuddin, mentioned two conditions for a person to be eligible to become the Head of the National Capital Authority (IKN) of the Archipelago. This is in response to the emergence of the name of the former Wamenhub Bambang Susantono who will fill the position in East Kalimantan.

"Who deserves to be the Head of the Authority? Of course what is implied in the legislation is someone who is able to build the initial stage, as the head of the agency to build a capital city," Hasanuddin told reporters, Wednesday, February 23. After building the capital city, he said, the figurehead of the authority body must be able to become the head of government.

"Secondly, after the capital city is built, he will become the head of government. So those two conditions must be met," he continued.

Regarding the figure, the member of the Special Committee (Pansus) for the IKN Bill assessed that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had considered the competence of the candidates for the Head of the Archipelago Authority. Even before that, the president mentioned that the candidate for the head of the authority had an architect background.

"Whoever (who is chosen) the President must have taken into account, taking into account the curriculum vitae of the person concerned," said Hasanuddin.

Asking about Bambang Susantono, who is busy being said to be leading IKN Nusantara, Hasanuddin believes that President Jokowi will choose someone who is considered capable. According to the member of Commission I of the DPR, Bambang Susantono may have experience from all fields. Moreover, referred to as a planning expert.

"If I see it, of course the President has chosen, in deciding someone, he has chosen who meets the requirements and is considered capable. We'll just leave it to him. Moreover, he, Mr. Bambang, may already have experience in all fields," Hasanuddin said. For your information, Bambang Susantono is not new to the government. Bambang was the acting minister of transportation, before finally being appointed as the definitive deputy minister of transportation in the Cabinet of the Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono government.

The man who was born on November 4, 1963 is known as an expert in infrastructure and transportation planning. He graduated from the ITB Faculty of Civil Engineering in 1987 and earned a master's degree in urban planning at the University of California Berkeley and a doctorate in infrastructure planning from the same university in 2000.
