JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta through PT Transjakarta added a Transjakarta bus route in one of the former reclamation areas of Island D, namely Pantai Maju. The area is called Jalasena.

In this area, Anies said that the addition of Transjakarta access was made to make it easier for residents to access public spaces in that location.

"There is a Transjakarta bus route 1A that serves from City Hall to Pantai Maju with three stopping points in the Jalasena area," Anies told reporters, quoted on Tuesday, February 22.

Anies said the DKI Provincial Government also plans to add other public transportation facilities in line with the development of the area.

"We are preparing the facility to work hand in hand, along with regional growth. So, not only from one or two points, but from various routes. Hopefully, later, like Transjakarta and Jaklingko, they can reach from and anywhere to this area," explained Anies.

Yesterday, Anies inaugurated a public area in the form of roads, bridges, parks and roundabouts with the name Jalasena (Healthy Walk and Relaxing Bike Route) at Maju Beach.

Anies hopes that the community can enjoy interaction activities in the Jalasena area, which has a bicycle path that surrounds the beach.

"We hope that with this new discovery, with openness, all people will be able to enjoy the area around the beach, public spaces that can be used for pedestrians, or cycling and other activities," he said.

Pantai Maju is an area of a former reclamation island called Pulau D. Looking back, Anies had revoked the permits for 13 reclamation islands in line with his campaign promise in the 2017 DKI Pilkada.

However, the reclamation dredging of four islands, namely C, D, and G, has already been carried out. Therefore, Anies issued building permits (IMB) to Islands C, D, and G. This IMB cannot be used by developers as a legal basis for continuing reclamation.

Then, Anies also changed the concept of using location into public space and renamed the islands to Pantai Kita (Island C), Pantai Maju (Island D), and Pantai Bersama (Pulau G).

Along with this, President Jokowi in April 2020 also issued a presidential regulation allowing development on Islands C, D, G, and N as cultivation zones.
