Singkawang Police Arrest AJ, Stabbing Perpetrator Because Of Jealousy Of His Wife Often Contacted By Men

PONTIANAK - The Singkawang Regional Police arrested a man with the initials TKP alias AJ who is suspected of having severely abused TSF, and causing the victim to undergo treatment at the Abdul Aziz Hospital Singkawang due to serious injuries.

It is known that this severe abuse incident occurred because the perpetrator was jealous because the victim often contacted his wife via telephone.

"The incident took place on Jalan Sagatani, Sijangkung Village, South Singkawang District, recently," said Singkawang Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, AKP David Dino, as reported by Antara, Monday, February 21.

The perpetrator at that time left the house on a motorbike with a knife in the seat. "At that time the suspect's aim was to find and kill the victim," he said.

While on the way, the suspect met the victim, who at that time was using a motorcycle. Then the suspect turned around and followed the victim from behind. "Then the suspect saw the victim stopped at the witness' yard," he said.

While the victim was chatting with the witness, the suspect took a knife that was stored in the seat of his motorbike. Then walked over and directly stabbed the knife into the victim's stomach.

However, the victim blocked it so that it hit the victim's left arm. The tip of the knife hit the victim's stomach.

Knowing the incident, the witness then rescued the victim and immediately contacted the police.

A few minutes later, members of the Singkawang Police immediately went to the crime scene and secured the suspect along with several pieces of evidence such as the suspect's knife, the victim's clothes and pants and the motorbike used by the suspect.

"Meanwhile, we immediately took the victim to Abdul Aziz Hospital for assistance," he said.

For his actions, the suspect will be subject to Article 354 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code Subsidiary Article 353 paragraph 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code Subsidiary Article 351 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of 7 years.
