Minister Of Health Reveals 5 Provinces Starting To Experience A Decline In COVID-19 Cases, One Of Them Is DKI Jakarta

JAKARTA - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said COVID-19 cases in five provinces in the country began to decline and one of them, DKI Jakarta.

Initially, Budi revealed that the current COVID-19 case was still higher than the peak of the Delta variant, which was around 56 thousand.

Currently, he said, there were 13 provinces that experienced an increase in cases. Among them are DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, to South Sumatra.

"The 13 provinces, namely Banten, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, Papua, North Sulawesi, Lampung, South Sulawesi, North Sumatra, NTB and South Sumatra are all higher than the peak of Delta," said the Minister of Health in a press conference broadcast on YouTube Secretariat. With this condition, the Minister of Health said that the spread of COVID-19 had now shifted outside Java-Bali. Moreover, based on the data it has, the proportion of COVID-19 cases beyond the percentage continues to grow.

"Because the proportion of Java-Bali has decreased, so outside Java-Bali it has increased. What was previously the ratio of 97 percent for Java-Bali, 3 percent outside Java-Bali has become 72-28 percent," he said.
