BPJS Health Card Becomes A Requirement For Buying And Selling Land, PKB Politicians: Suspecting Something Is Bad, Deliberately Clashing The President With The People

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the DPR RI, Luqman Hakim, urged the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Sofyan Djalil to cancel the BPJS Health Participation policy as a condition for land services. He conveyed that Minister Sofyan Djalil should provide input if there are errors related to land regulations.

"If in Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2022 there are errors related to land issues, Minister Sofyan Djalil, as assistant to the president, should provide input so that the presidential instruction is revised so that the people are not harmed. Don't do the opposite, act as if you don't know there is a problem and implement it immediately. ," said Luqman as quoted from the official website of Parliament, Sunday, February 20 yesterday.

The politician from the PKB faction considered that the issuance of regulations that forced the people to become BPJS Health participants by making it a condition for land services was part of the practice of irrational and arbitrary power.

“What is the relationship between buying and selling land and BPJS Health? In the philosophy of the constitution, land ownership and social health insurance are people's rights that must be protected by the state," said the representative of the people of the Central Java VI constituency.

In carrying out the obligation to protect the rights of the people, he continued, the state must not suppress the rights of other people.

"The birth of this policy makes me suspect that there are evil elements that have infiltrated around President Jokowi and his cabinet ranks and deliberately encourage the birth of policies that clash the president with the people," he said.

People who want to buy and sell land at this time must have a BPJS Health participant card. This new regulation was conveyed by the government through the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR)/BPN saying that the BPJS Health participant card will become a mandatory requirement in buying and selling land.

This regulation was made by the Directorate General of Determination of Land Rights and Registration of the Ministry of ATR/BPN numbered HR.02/164-400/II/2022, which was signed by the Director General of Determination of Land Rights and Registration, Suyus Windayana on 16 February 2022.

"The BPJS Health participant card is a requirement in the application for registration services for the transfer of land rights or ownership rights to flat units due to buying and selling. The implementation of this provision will take effect on March 1, 2022," the letter said, quoted by VOI.id, Saturday, February 19.

This new policy is in line with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) 1/2022 on Optimizing the Implementation of the National Health Insurance Program (JKN).

Referring to the Presidential Instruction 1/2022, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of BPN must ensure that applicants for registration of transfer of land rights due to sale and purchase are active participants in the JKN program.
