Pity! There Are Findings Of Alleged Corruption Of Rp. 7.9 Billion In Village Funds In West Aceh, Which Has Just Returned Rp. 1.1 Billion

ACEH - Head of the West Aceh Regency Inspectorate Sirajulfata said the number of results from the financial audit of village funds in 2021 which was allegedly indicated to have violated the rules for use reached more than Rp. 7.9 billion.

"From the total financial findings of village funds in 2021 in West Aceh, the amount of funds that have been followed up to be returned to the regional treasury has reached more than Rp. 1.1 billion," said Sirajulfata as quoted by Antara, Meulaboh Aceh, Sunday, February 20.

The remaining findings of village funds in 2021 that have not been followed up or returned by village officials in West Aceh until February 2022 amount to IDR 6,825,757,424.33.

Sirajulfata added that the findings amounted to more than IDR 7.9 billion in village funds in West Aceh after an audit by a team of auditors on the use of village funds spread over 322 villages in West Aceh Regency.

Then the results of this financial audit were submitted to the Regent of Aceh Barat as the regional head and each of the sub-district and village heads to be audited.

He also explained that most of the findings during the audit were carried out by a team of auditors from the West Aceh Inspectorate, such as the existence of taxes that were allegedly not paid by the village treasurer.

Then the lack of volume of work results, including the existence of a policy from the village head which then violated the rules, thus becoming the findings of the auditor team.

"We are still trying to return these findings to the regional treasury of each village head in West Aceh," he added.

Sirajulfata emphasized that if there are village heads or village officials who are not willing to return the findings of indications of corruption, it is possible that the findings will be reported to law enforcement officials.
