East Belitung Implements PPKM Level 3, Regent: Don't Tell People To Obey Prokes, But ASN Don't Obey

MANGGAR - The government of East Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, has implemented Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM), in an effort to anticipate the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

"The region has officially implemented PPKM level 3 and this was done following the discovery of the Omicron variant virus that attacked residents," said the Regent of East Belitung, Burhanuddin in Manggar, quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 19.

Burhanuddin explained that community mobilization began to adjust to the health protocol and PPKM level 3.

"This regional determination of PPKM level 3 is also in accordance with the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Number 11 of 2022," he said.

The Regent asked ASN to actively participate in breaking the spread of COVID-19 and has a responsibility to be an example in the community in an effort to break the chain of virus spread.

"Don't let us ask the public to obey health protocols but the ASN don't obey them," he said.

The Regent also mentioned the Electronic Performance (e-kinerja) system for Employee Income Allowances in the East Belitung Regency Government.

"With the implementation of e-performance for ASN, I ask that all ASN further improve their work ethic, discipline, productivity, carry out their duties and functions seriously," said the regent.
