Checking The Minimarket, Cirebon Deputy Regent Could Not Find Cooking Oil Stock, All Shelves Including Empty Warehouse

CIREBON - Deputy Regent of Cirebon, West Java, Wahyu Tjiptaningsih did not find cooking oil during a surprise inspection (sidak) at several minimarkets because they were empty since last week.

"We did a review at several minimarkets, indeed cooking oil stocks are still empty," said Cirebon Deputy Regent Wahyu Tjiptaningsih as quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 17.

According to him, after asking several minimarket employees regarding the availability of cooking oil, it turned out that the supply from the warehouse was also experiencing delays, and even within a week there had been no shipment.

Ayu also reviewed the racks that are usually used for cooking oil, which are currently filled with cooking oil made from soybeans and coconut. The price per liter of the two oils is Rp.46 thousand.

In addition to reviewing the cooking oil storage rack, Ayu also reviewed the storage warehouse at the mini market, and the result was that there was indeed no stock.

"Indeed there is no stockpiling because after inspection there is also no stock," he said.

Meanwhile, during an inspection at the warehouse of the Indomaret Cirebon distributor, Ayu found 3,000 cartons or boxes of cooking oil, for which she immediately asked to be distributed to existing minimarkets.

"This must be distributed immediately so that people can get cooking oil according to the price set by the government," he said.

Head of the Indomarco Prismatama Cirebon Branch, Jefri Hirokito, said that from the beginning of January 2022, the distribution of cooking oil experienced problems, so that every time it was distributed it was immediately sold out by the public.

In fact, Jefri continued, when oil prices were still normal, his party sent cooking oil to stores every three days, but currently the shipments from factories are also not as usual.

"Today there are 3,000 cartons, we immediately distribute them. One shipment usually takes one week, now it runs out in a day," he said.
