Police Find Books During Search Padepokan Tunggal Jati Nusantara Related To The Death Ritual Case At Payangan Beach, Jember

JEMBER - Jember Police investigators found a book or books while searching the Padepokan Tunggal Jati Nusantara which is the home of suspect Nur Hasan in a ritual case that killed 11 people on Payangan Beach, Jember Regency, East Java.

"Investigators have also conducted a search at Padepokan Tunggal Jati Nusantara, which is located in Dukuhmencek Village, Sukorambi District. Several pieces of evidence were secured," said Jember Police Chief AKBP Hery Purnomo as reported by Antara, Wednesday, February 16.

According to him, some of the items that were secured during the search were books or books used by the suspect in carrying out his activities so far.

"Later, we will study the books or books used by the suspect in alternative medicine activities or recitations that have been carried out so far," he said.

He explained that the Padepokan Tunggal Jati Nusantara leader in carrying out his activities combines religious activities and has a kind of belief system that uses the Javanese language in carrying out rituals, then chanting mantras and kidung.

"We are still studying the mantras in the readings performed by members of Padepokan Tunggal Jati Nusantara, including which sect," he said.

The Jember Police have named the Padepokan Tunggal Jati Nusantara (JTN) chairman Nur Hasan as a suspect in the ritual case that killed 11 people on the Payangan Beach of Jember because he was considered the party responsible for the ritual tragedy on the southern sea coast.

Nur Hasan violated Article 359 of the Criminal Code regarding negligence causing the loss of a person's life with a threat of imprisonment of more than 5 years, so that the person concerned was thrown into custody.

The Padepokan Tunggal Jati Nusantara delegation performed a ritual around Payangan Beach on Sunday, February 12 in the early hours of the morning, but unfortunately they were hit by high waves causing 11 people to die and 12 people to survive, and the driver waiting in the parking area also survived because they did not participate in the ritual.
