Anies Issues New Governor's Decree Set PTM Fixed At 50 Percent

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan issued Governor Decree (Kepgub) Number 133 of 2022 concerning Level Three PPKM, one of which regulates Face-to-face Learning (PTM) is limited to 50 percent of capacity when active cases of COVID-19 show a downward trend.

"Keep the spirit, keep the immunity, and keep the prokes wherever we are," Anies said in Jakarta as reported by Antara, Wednesday, February 16.

Regarding PTM in Jakarta, the Governor's Decree still refers to the provisions issued by the central government.

In the Decree, it is regulated that teaching and learning activities are carried out with limited PTM and or distance learning (PJJ) based on the Joint Decree (SKB) of the Four Ministers.

The four ministerial decrees are the Minister of Education and Culture, Research and Technology, the Minister of Religion, the Minister of Health and the Minister of Home Affairs regarding Guidelines for the Implementation of Learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, the DKI Provincial Government also refers to the Circular Letter of the Minister of Education and Culture, Research and Technology Number 2 of 2022 concerning the Discretion for the Implementation of the SKB of four ministers.

In accordance with the Decree of the four ministers, it is stated that educational units located in regions with PPKM level three status are carried out by limited PTM or PJJ with the number of students 50 percent of the classroom capacity.

Meanwhile, the Circular of the Minister of Education and Culture, Research and Technology regarding discretion also states that education units at level three PPKM areas follow the SKB of four ministers.

In DKI Jakarta, a total of 10,429 schools implement PTM with a limited capacity of 50 percent.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said the trend of COVID-19 cases in Jakarta was starting to pass its peak.

"The positive news is that the trend of cases in DKI Jakarta is showing signs of starting to pass its peak. Both daily cases, active cases and hospitalizations are starting to show a decline," he said at an online press conference on the development of PPKM in Jakarta.
