The Man Who Pointed A Gun At A Construction Worker Claims To Buy Air Soft Gun Glock-17 At STC (Senayan Trade Center)

JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Endra Zulpan revealed the reason the suspect threatened construction workers at Pondok Indah, had a Glock-17 type airsoft gun.

"It's not just for being brave, it's for keeping things like that", Endra told reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Tuesday, February 15.

Endra explained, in addition to being brave, the suspect admitted to buying a Glock-17 to relieve stress due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. He bought the weapon at the Senayan Trade Center (STC).

“So this weapon was bought at the Senayan Trade Center (STC), it was at a shop that sells military equipment. The price is IDR 4.5 million", he said.

"The reason is in this pandemic situation. He bought equipment that resembled military equipment. Even though he is not a member of the military", said Endra.

Previously, it was reported that the police arrested a man with the initials RBP on suspicion of threatening the victim with the initials SES with a Glock-17 airsoft gun in Pondok Indah, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

The threats occurred on Saturday, February 12, at around 08.15 WIB. The suspect admitted that he was disturbed by the voices of construction workers. In fact, at that time the suspect was having a zoom meeting with his co-workers at his home, Pondok Indah area, South Jakarta.
