The Viral Man In Pondok Indah Who Pointed A Firearm At A Construction Worker, Has Been Arrested By Polda Metro

JAKARTA - The police arrested a middle-aged man for allegedly pointing a gun-like object at a worker who was renovating a house in the Pondok Indah area, South Jakarta.

"Yes, he was arrested in Jakarta. I confirmed that first," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan when confirmed, in Jakarta as reported by Antara, Tuesday, February 15.

Zulpan said the details of the case will be presented to the public at a press conference regarding the handling of the incident. "Later for details when released, yes," he said.

The incident of a man pointing a suspected firearm at a construction worker has gone viral on social media. One of the Instagram accounts that uploaded the video is the @brandemamjakarta account.

In his upload, the account includes the following narration: A MIDDLE MAN POINTS A THING LIKE A PISTOL TO A COLLER IN A BUILDING IN PONDOK INDAH.

A middle-aged man pointed a gun-like object at a construction worker at a house in the luxury residential area of Pondok Indah, Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta last Saturday at around 10.30 WIB.

The stabbing took place because it was suspected that the man was annoyed and disturbed by the noise that came from the house renovation work.

The gunman lived next door to a house that was being renovated. The victim has reported the robbery to the South Jakarta Metro Police.
