JAKARTA - A video recording of an attack by a group of heavily armed youths took place in the Baru Village area, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta. The video had gone viral on Instagram social media on Saturday, February 12.

From the footage, it can be seen that a number of youths launched brawl attacks with various sharp weapons pointed at their opponents.

"The brawl hasn't happened yet, because the two groups are different gangs. Coincidentally, there are residents with Bhabinkamtibmas, and they have been disbanded," said Pasar Rebo police chief Kompol Martson Marbun when confirmed, Sunday, February 13.

The incident occurred on Saturday at around 04.00 WIB. The incident began when two motorized groups passed each other.

However, said the Sector Police Chief, there was no brawl because the residents and the Bhabinkamtibmas of the Pasar Rebo Police were at the scene.

The police chief said that the two groups each rode five motorbikes. According to him the number of perpetrators is not more than 10 people.

In this incident, his party did not secure a single person because they had dispersed after being expelled by residents and the police.

"No one has been arrested," he said.
