JAKARTA - According to health data, most of the COVID-19 patients being treated at hospitals in Bogor are in critical condition, those who have not undergone complete vaccinations. This is a special concern for the Bogor City Health Office, West Java.

"In fact, most of those who enter the ICU have not been vaccinated," said Secretary of the Bogor City Health Service Erna Nuraena to Antara in Bogor, Saturday, February 12.

Erna did not deny that there are still people in the community who do not believe in the COVID-19 disease. There are also those who believe in the disease, but do not believe in the impact it has on a weak body condition. He thought this could be dangerous.

Those who don't and don't believe this, he said, ultimately don't believe in the COVID-19 vaccination that the government has given. These conditions account for the majority of patients with severe and critical conditions because they have not been vaccinated.

Based on data from the Bogor City Health Office, according to the availability and occupancy of isolation beds for COVID-19 patients in 21 hospitals, there were 801 provided. As of Wednesday, February 9, it was 35.3 percent occupied or 283 beds.

While in the ICU room there are 57 beds provided, now there are 45.6 percent or 26 beds occupied by COVID-19 patients in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the achievement of the first sausage vaccination was 103 percent, the second dose was 90 percent, and the booster dose vaccination was 90 percent.

The achievement of COVID-19 vaccination for the elderly (elderly) is 81 percent of the first dose, 72 percent of the second dose and 24 percent of the elderly who have been vaccinated with boosters.

For adolescents, the first dose was 114 percent, the second dose was 101 percent and the booster dose was in progress and for children 6-11 years old, the first dose was 96 percent, the second dose was 78 percent.

Erna hopes that public understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic needs to continue to be improved through various socialization methods.

Efforts made by the Bogor City Government, both through the Health Service and the local COVID-19 Task Force, have disseminated information through various channels.

"So we hope that one of the mass media can help us disseminate valid and confirmed information to the public," said Erna.

In addition to the information being distributed, Erna said that the Bogor City Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) which is connected to the COVID-19 Task Force directly invites the public to want to vaccinate.

Among other things, by visiting and administering vaccinations at vaccine centers and picking up the ball to the RW level.
