1,598 TNI-National Police Personnel Escort The Mandalika MotoGP Pre-season Test

JAKARTA - A total of 1,598 joint personnel from the TNI (Indonesian Army)-National Police and other related parties were deployed to secure the MotoGP pre-season test in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Thousands of personnel will oversee the implementation of health protocols (prokes).

"1,598 joint personnel from the TNI-National Police and other stakeholders were deployed to provide security during the implementation of the international event", said National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, in his statement on Friday, February 11.

However, it is possible that there will be an increase in the number of personnel. Because, later there will be adjustments in the pattern or security scheme.

"And also of course there will be additions that are adjusted to the pattern of security and threats faced", said Sigit.

In addition, based on the report he received, it was undeniable that several problems had arisen. But, everything can be resolved well.

General Sigit also emphasized that the implementation of health protocol had been carried out since the beginning. Where, checks are carried out starting from the entrance to Indonesia to the Mandalika Circuit.

"Health protocol enforcement is also carried out at accommodation places to the location of the event itself, namely the Mandalika Circuit", he said.

Strict procedures are also applied to all parties involved. In this way, the transmission of COVID-19 can be prevented as much as possible.

"Checks ranging from documents, RT-PCR tests, daily Antigen Swab Tests, to setting area boundaries for participants, officials and the public, have been carried out according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)", said the National Police Chief.
