Coordinating Minister Airlangga Review Booster Vaccination At Indofood Tower Jakarta, Message To Prokes Discipline Residents

JAKARTA - The government continues to encourage vaccination in various regions, especially in dealing with the omicron variant. The third dose of vaccination or booster continues to be intensified.

In order to ensure that vaccinations are carried out properly, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto visited several government and private sector vaccination centers in several regions.

During the visit, Airlangga Hartarto was accompanied by Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Deputy Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Budi Arie Setiadi and his entourage.

One of the vaccination centers reviewed in the Indofood Tower Building area, Jakarta. "The government continues to encourage booster vaccination, of course, this booster vaccination is needed to deal with the Omicron variant. In facing this Omicron, of course, one of the most at risk is the elderly. Therefore, the elderly are prioritized," said Coordinating Minister Airlangga, quoted from ekon.go.id, Thursday, February 10.

Coordinating Minister Airlangga also greeted the vaccination participants who were waiting in line at the vaccination location. It is planned that this activity will be held for 5 days with a daily target of 500-600 people.

For the first and second days, the organizers have vaccinated around 1000 people. The organizers have prepared more than 2500 doses of booster vaccinations under the Pfizer brand.

"It is hoped that the surrounding community can take advantage of this moment to get a booster vaccination to increase the body's immunity against COVID," said Airlangga.

Airlaangga appealed to the public to be disciplined in health protocols in tackling the spread of COVID. Especially in DKI Jakarta Province where the positive numbers are starting to rise.

“The Omicron number in Jakarta is the highest in Greater Jakarta. To increase immunity, a third dose of vaccination is needed. The President's direction, the formula is only two. The first is prokes and the second is vaccination. So that must be carried out so that our activities do not stop," concluded Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
