Police Check TransJakarta Driver Involved In Accident At Tanjung Priok Busway Stop

TANGERANG - Police are investigating a TransJakarta driver involved in the death of a young woman with the initials D, in the Tanjung Priok area, North Jakarta. This is done to find out the truth of the case.

"Yes, for sure (we'll check)," said the Head of the Gakkum Ditlantas sub-directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Arga Dija Putra via a short message received by VOI, Tuesday, February 8.

However, when asked about the results of the examination, Arga said that it was currently under investigation.

"Already (secured). It's under investigation," he said.

The victim is known to have died after being run over by a TransJakarta bus at the Tanjung Priok busway stop, North Jakarta.

The Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Arga Dija Putra confirmed the incident that occurred Tuesday, February 8, at around 10.55 WIB.

"That's right, the victim died with injuries to the back. Died at the crime scene (TKP)," said Arga when confirmed, Tuesday, February 8.

Arga explained that the incident began when the Transjakarta bus driven by SY was traveling from the west to the east of North Jakarta. Arriving at the Tanjung Priok busway stop, the victim slipped and fell, until he was run over by the rear tire of a TransJakarta bus.

"The victim walked behind the TransJakarta bus because the road was slippery and the victim slipped and fell. Then it was run over by the right rear tire of a TransJakarta bus. As a result of the accident, the victim died.
