2 Clinic Officers Become Suspects Of COVID-19 Antigen Cases Without Tests In Banyuwangi

BANYUWANGI - Police have named 2 suspects in the case of rapid antigen without testing in Ketapang Banyuwangi, East Java. Both S and AF are officers at the clinic.

Banyuwangi Police Chief Kombes Nasrun Pasaribu said the two suspects were named after investigators examined a number of witnesses.

"There are two suspects. Both of them issued a rapid letter without conducting an examination or test," said Kombes Nasrun, Monday, February 7.

From the results of the examination, said Nasrun, the two suspects admitted to making and issuing a certificate of rapid antigen test results without conducting an examination.

"His confession is that this is the first time he has issued a rapid letter without a test. The target is people who want to cross to Gilimanuk Harbor," he explained.

Currently, the two people who have been named suspects and detained at the Banyuwangi Mapolresta.

"We have detained both of them. The articles applied are Articles 263 and 268 of the Criminal Code," he added.

Previously, the police raided a rapid test service clinic around Ketapang Port on Thursday, February 3.

The raid was carried out because it is suspected that the clinic issued a certificate of COVID-19 antigen rapid test results without an examination process. In the raid, a number of people were taken to the Banyuwangi Police Headquarters.
