SULTRA - The Directorate of Narcotics Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police arrested seven people suspected of being dealers of class I narcotics of the methamphetamine type. Ironically, one of the perpetrators is a member of the National Police.
Director of Narcotics and Drugs at the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes Muhammad Eka Faturrahman, said that the arrested member had the initials AS (36). The arrests of the suspects began with public information that at the crime scene (TKP) drug transactions often occurred. The Narcotics Directorate of the Southeast Sulawesi Police then carried out developments and succeeded in finding 29 sachets of suspected methamphetamine weighing 10.5 grams in the KM (Motorboat) of the Virgin Mary at Wanci Port, Kendari City, belonging to the suspect AS.
"The 29 packages belonged to the US which were delivered by the suspect LOZ. The BB plan will be sent to Wakatobi Regency for circulation," explained Eka.
The police then resumed development and succeeded in arresting two suspects, namely H and R at BTN Baruga Regency Block B 63, Jalan Ade Irma Nasution, Watubangga Village, Baruga District, Kendari City.
"Based on the results of the arrests, the two suspected members confiscated 0.46 grams of crystal methamphetamine," he said.
It did not stop there, the police resumed development and managed to arrest two other suspects, namely MTP and R at the Athaya Hotel.
"Furthermore, the Investigation Team of Sub-Directorate I took the suspect and the confiscated evidence to the Head of the Narcotics Directorate of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police for further investigation," he said.
The suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of a death penalty, imprisonment for life or imprisonment for a minimum of six years and a maximum of 20 years.
"Because they are involved in a network syndicate, even though the evidence is zero point, we have the authority to raise the status of a suspect in relation to a trafficker syndicate. Trademarks cannot be rehabilitated because they are a network," said Eka.
