Consultation And Coordination Of Stunting Reduction, Head Of BKKBN Receives Audience Of South Kalimantan Tapin Regency Government

JAKARTA - Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), Hasto Wardoyo received an audience from the Tapin Regent, represented by the Assistant for General Administration and his staff and the Tapin Regency Population Control and Family Planning Service (DPPKB) at the Central BKKBN Office.

The agenda in the hearing was consultation as well as coordination of policies and regulations for the acceleration of stunting reduction (PPS) and the family companion team (TPK) in Tapin Regency. In addition, it also discussed the Special Allocation Fund assistance and Family Planning Operational Assistance (BOKB).

"In Tapin Regency, in order to accelerate the reduction of stunting, a family coaching team has been formed consisting of 182 groups with a total of 546 cadres. They are scattered in all villages in Tapin Regency," explained the Assistant for General Administration of Tapin Regency on behalf of the Tapin Regent in opening the hearing according to the release received in Jakarta, Thursday, February 4.

He thanked the BKKBN for providing DAK and BOKB. However, there are several obstacles encountered in working to reduce stunting rates in Tapin. Such as geographical conditions tapin with mountainous areas and waters.

So it requires operational vehicles such as boats and other motorized vehicles for family planning services in villages. In 2021 the realization of the DAK budget is 96.41 percent. While the BOKB reached 98.71 percent.

The head of the BKKBN Hasto added that the family planning budget in small regencies/cities is not large.

"That's why we planned the budget which is usually in the Provincial BKKBN, we shifted it to district/city family planning offices. This includes later mobilizing funds to mobilize acceptors. this year we can add more to be allocated DAK or BOKB, "explained Hasto.

Hasto also stated that to reach family planning acceptors, innovations were indeed needed, especially during the COVID pandemic. He hopes that Tapin DPPKB can provide family planning services simultaneously in all his villages without having to crowd so that family planning acceptors can get family planning services.

"In addition, the implementation of the family companion team is also maximized so that later the prevention and handling of stunting can be better. The team is expected to be able to assist prospective brides, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and babies to prevent stunting, maternal and infant mortality," said Hasto.
