JAKARTA - Former President Director of the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Pembangunan Sarana Jaya (PSJ) Yoory Corneles admitted that he only received a verbal report regarding the purchase of land for the "Owning DP 0 Rupiah" project in Munjul.

"Orally there is," said Yoory when answering questions from the KPK Public Prosecutor (JPU) Ariawan Agustiartono at the Jakarta Corruption Court (Tipikor), reported by Antara, Thursday, February 3.

In the trial, Yoory was present as a defendant as well as a witness for the other three defendants, namely PT Adonara Propertindo. Director of PT Adonara Propertindo Tommy Adrian and two company owners Anja Runtuwene and Rudy Hartono Iskandar.

The four were charged with causing state financial loss of Rp. 152.565 billion in the land acquisition for the "House DP 0 Rupiah" project in Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, East Jakarta.

Sarana Jaya is a Regional-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) which has been assigned the task of providing land for "Residential Development DP 0 Rupiah" through DKI Jakarta Regional Capital Participation (PMD) funds.

Sarana Jaya then purchased land from PT Adonara Propertindo for a land in Munjul, Pondok Rangon, East Jakarta with an area of 41,921 square meters. The land is known to belong to the Congregation of the Sisters of Carolus Boromeus (Congregation of the CB Sisters).

However, the purchase of land by PT Adonara to the Congregation of the CB Sisters has been canceled because it has not been repaid and there has even been a refund of an advance of Rp. 10 billion to PT Adonara.

Even though Sarana Jaya had already paid Rp152,565,440,000 to PT Adonara, moreover, it was later discovered that the land was in the green and yellow zones, located separately and had no access to the main road, so it was concluded that Munjul's land could not be developed into a "residential DP 0 rupiah" project.

"Have you seen this land the yellow or green zone?" asked the prosecutor Ariawan.

"No," replied Yuri.

"So, when the PPJB (Sales and Purchase Agreement) was signed at the notary, did the land clear and clean, you know?" asked the prosecutor.

"I was reported already," replied Yoory.

"How is your responsibility as the highest leader in BUMD, how come you still agree to the payment of Rp. 152 billion, this is the responsibility of BUMD?" asked the prosecutor.

"Each division should have done it, but once we got the trust to buy land, I created an investment team there. I started my career there from scratch, together with the staff, I believe and trust a manager with decades of experience, there is a notary too," replied Yuri.

"In fact, whether material (land) checks were carried out?" asked the prosecutor.

"No," replied Yuri.

"Have you ever asked the staff to tidy up the documents?" asked the prosecutor.

"Yes, I asked for your help to check whether all of Munjul's land documents were complete or not, then the staff said the documents had not been made, that was when there would be a BPKP inspection," said Yoory.

"So the bottom of the document fireplace because of the Criminal Investigation Investigation Unit?" asked the prosecutor.

"As far as I remember the BPKP and Bareskrim examinations," replied Yoory.
