Not stopping there, Fatur admitted that he also immediately activated tracing by imposing PCR swab tests on 363 grade 12 students, as well as on 25 teachers and employees at MAN Surabaya on Monday, January 31, 2022.
As a result, 46 people were found positive for COVID-19. "So some of the positive ones are in isolation in the Hajj Dormitory, and are self-isolating. So that as many as 11 students are being treated under the supervision of medical personnel," he said.
Fatur continues to monitor the health conditions of his teachers and students who have been exposed to COVID-19. Currently, said Fatur, the condition of the students has improved and four of them have returned home to undergo further treatment at home.
"Meanwhile, students and teachers who choose to self-isolate at home are reported to have continued to improve," he said.
As a result of this situation, Fatur issued a PTM policy to be temporarily suspended, transferred to online learning for the next week. "We'll see the progress if we have to do PTM again, so that it's safe the school will make sure to do a PCR swab first," he said.
