PEKALONGAN - The Pekalongan City Police, Central Java, during January 2022 uncovered four cases of trafficking and abuse of narcotics and dangerous drugs while securing seven suspects as well as a number of packages of methamphetamine and hundreds of psychotropic pills.

The head of the Pekalongan City Police, AKBP Wahyu Rohadi, said that this case was revealed to have originated from a motorcycle theft case handled by the local Criminal and Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) on January 22, 2022.

"There were two perpetrators, one was caught and the other fled. However, in a short time, the perpetrator was arrested. After being searched, the suspect had 17 packages of methamphetamine weighing 10.74 grams," he said in Pekalongan, February 2.

In this first case, he said, two suspects with the initials K (29) residents of Jenggot, South Pekalongan and AK (29) residents of Pringrejo, West Pekalongan, Pekalongan City with evidence that was secured in the form of 17 packages of methamphetamine weighing 10.74 grams. In the next case, his party arrested three suspects with the initials MF (23) a resident of Kediri Regency, East Java, WP (29) a Pekalongan City resident, and H (38) a Surakarta resident, with evidence in the form of a package of methamphetamine weighing 0.5 grams, a pipette, and a tool. suck.

For the two suspects in the psychotropic case, his party arrested suspects S (40) and MFH (21) at different locations and times with evidence of 823 Alpazolam pills.

"Suspect S (40) was arrested by the police in Jeruksari, Tirto District on January 22, 2022 and MFH was arrested at his home, Jenggot Village, Pekalongan Selatan District," he said.

He, who was accompanied by the Head of Public Relations of the Pekalongan City Police, Kompol Suparji, said that the five suspects in the methamphetamine case would be subject to Article 114 paragraph (1) and/or Article 112 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum penalty of 5 years. imprisonment and a maximum of 20 years in prison.

"For cases of dangerous drugs, Article 197 and/or 196 of Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health will be subject to a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison," he said.
