Crowded! 10,301 Tourists Visited Ragunan Wildlife Park During The 2022 Chinese New Year

JAKARTA - A total of 10,301 tourists visited the South Jakarta Ragunan Wildlife Park during the 2022 Chinese New Year or Chinese New Year holidays, Tuesday, February 1.

Information and Public Relations Service Staff of the Ragunan Wildlife Park, Wahyudi Bambang, said the number of visitors increased by about a thousand people compared to the weekend holiday on Sunday, January 30.

"If the registration is full, up to 15 thousand people come, but only 10,301 people come. There are about four thousand more people who don't come," said Wahyudi Bambang, quoted from Antara.

Bambang said, on last Sunday's holiday weekend, the number of visits to the zoo only reached 9 thousand people.

Meanwhile, Bambang said, during the Christmas and New Year 2022 holidays the number of visitors was still higher than the Chinese New Year holidays.

This could not be separated from the PPKM status in DKI Jakarta, which at that time was still Level 1. "Christmas and New Years have different PPKM levels. Therefore, 50 percent of the visitor capacity is still allowed, but now it's only 25 percent," he said.

Bambang also said that his party took advantage of the presence of loudspeakers to encourage visitors to obey health protocols.

According to him, during the Lunar New Year holiday, visitors will still comply with the provisions, although the task force must monitor them directly.

"So far, we have carried out the prokes strictly, we always monitor the presence of visitors if they are negligent in wearing masks, especially we always reprimand them," he said.
