COVID-19 Update As Of January 29: New Cases 11,588, Recovered 2,590

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the number of additional positive cases of COVID-19 today, Saturday, January 29. According to the information, the cumulative total of cases is 4,330,763 people since the first case was announced on March 2. Meanwhile, new cases per day reached 11,588 people.

Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases increased by 2,590 today, bringing the total to 4,113,923 recovered. Meanwhile, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 17 people and a total of 144,285 people.

Meanwhile, the province with the newest cases was in DKI Jakarta with 5,765 new cases. Consisting of 5,432 local transmissions, and 333 foreign travel agents (PPLN). The total cases reached 901,471.

Followed by West Java with 2,525 new cases. Consisting of 2,511 local transmissions and PPLN 14 people. The total cases are 722,187. Then, Banten had 1,911 new cases. Consisting of 1,811 local transmissions and 30 PPLN people. Meanwhile, the total number of cases is 142,691.

Then East Java with 363 new cases. Consisting of 361 local transmissions and PPLN 2 people. The total cases reached 402,244.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,747 cases. Then, followed by West Java 452 cases recovered, East Java 152 cases, Banten 87 cases, Bali 28 cases, and North Sulawesi 23 cases.

"The highest death cases are in DKI Jakarta with 11 people", according to data from the Ministry of Health on Saturday, January 29.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined per day is 383,401. Meanwhile, cumulatively it reached 71.323,331. As for the details, 32,823,567 were examined by RT-PCR, 260,654 by the TMC method, and 38,239,110 people were tested for antigen.

"For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it is recorded at 11,112 people", he said.

Then, the weekly positivity rate for people from 23 to 29 January 2022 is 3.12 percent. While the daily positivity rate is 4.44 percent.

Currently, 510,0006 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and the total has reached 184,187,038 people, and 562,947 people have received the second dose of vaccination, the cumulative total has reached 127,727,473 people. Meanwhile, the third dose of vaccination was 4,617 people, the cumulative total was 1,386,899 people. The target for vaccination is 208,265,720 people.
