Lawyer Edy Mulyadi Calls Calls Incompatible With KUHAP, Asks Police To Correct Letters

JAKARTA - The head of Edy Mulyadi's team of lawyers, Herman Kadir, said the summons against his client was not in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). This was one of the reasons Edy Mulyadi did not attend the examination.

"So it has to be at least 3 days, it's only been 2 days that there have been summons, the point is that it is not in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code," Herman told reporters, Friday, January 28.

Therefore, Herman asked the investigators to correct the summons. So, the inspection process according to the rules.

"We ask that the summons be revised again," said Herman.

On the other hand, Herman stated that if the summons had been corrected, then, his client would come to fulfill the examination. So, at this time he will ask investigators to postpone the examination process.

"God willing, there will be a second call," he said.

Meanwhile, Edy Mulyadi was not present at the summons for examination. Where, he will be asked to testify as a witness.

Edy Mulyadi is suspected of insulting all Kalimantan residents because of his statement about the 'place for the genie to dispose of children'.
