Weather Parts Of Indonesia On The Last Day In 2024 Is Forecasted To Rain

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that most areas in Indonesia will experience rain on Tuesday, from light rain to rain accompanied by lightning.

BMKG forecaster Eriska said there are 20 areas that are predicted to experience light rain.

"These areas include Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands; Pekanbaru, Riau; Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung Islands; Lampung; and Jakarta," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 31. Next is Semarang, Central Java; Surabaya, East Java; Yogyakarta; Bandung, West Java; Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB); and Samarinda, East Kalimantan. Light-scale rain is also predicted to flush Banjarmasin.

Then South Kalimantan; Gorontalo; Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi; Makassar, South Sulawesi; Ternate, North Maluku; Manokwari, West Papua; Sorong, West Papua; Jayapura, Papua; and Jayawijaya, Papua Mountains.

In addition to light rain, BMKG also predicts areas that have the potential to be hit by moderate rain. The area includes Bengkulu; Denpasar, Bali; Nabire, Central Papua; and Merauke, South Papua.

Next, there are also a number of areas that have the potential to be hit by rain accompanied by lightning or lightning, namely Aceh, Medan, North Sumatra; Palembang, South Sumatra; Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara; Pontianak, West Kalimantan; Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan; Manado, North Sulawesi; and Mamuju, West Sulawesi.

Even though it is dominated by rainy weather, BMKG predicts that there are four areas that have the potential to be faced with thick weather conditions, namely Jambi; Serang, Banten; Palu; and Ambon, Maluku.
