Christmas And New Year Holidays, 125,695 Vehicles Cross The Trans Sumatra Toll Road
JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) continues to monitor the development of the Traffic Volume (VLL) of vehicles on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays (Nataru 2024/2025).
On H Day Christmas celebration, December 25, 2024, the VLL of vehicles passing through the JTTS section managed by Hutama Karya was recorded as 125,695 vehicles, an increase of 43 percent from VLL Normal
"This reflects the high mobility of the community on this Christmas holiday," said EVP Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim in a written statement, quoted Friday, December 27.
Adjib explained, based on the daily traffic recap, it was known that 18,571 vehicles crossed the Terbanggi Besar (Keyu Agung) Toll Road, an increase of 46 percent from normal VLLs.
Then, there were 13,702 vehicles crossing the Palembang 'Prabumulih (Palindra and Inprabu) toll road, an increase of 25 percent from normal VLL.
Next, 2,312 vehicles crossing the Bengkulu 'Taba Penanjung (Bengtaba) Toll Road or an increase of 46.5 percent from the normal VLL. Vehicles crossing the Betung'Tempino 'Jambi Toll Road Section 3 (Tempino Bayeng Lencir) are 6,169 vehicles, an increase of 30.45 percent from normal VLL.
"Meanwhile, vehicles crossing the Pekanbaru 'XIII Koto Kampar Toll Road were 11,487 vehicles, an increase of 126.66 percent from normal VLLs. Then, vehicles crossing the Pekanbaru'Dumai (Permai) Toll Road were 15,986 vehicles, an increase of 15.35 percent from normal VLLs," he said.
Then, vehicles that cross the Indrapura Toll Road are 11,195 vehicles or 42.39 percent higher than normal VLLs. Vehicles that cross the Kuala Tanjung Toll Road "High Cliff" Parapat (Kutepat) are 28,200 vehicles, an increase of 34 percent from normal VLLs.
Furthermore, 11,483 vehicles crossing the Binjai 'Tanjung Pura (Binsa) Toll Road or an increase of 52.22 percent from normal VLL.

Vehicles that cross the Sigli 'Banda Aceh (Seulimeum'Baitussalam) toll road are 6,590 vehicles, an increase of 160.33 percent from normal VLLs.
Adjib appealed to all toll road users to always check the condition of the vehicle before driving, ensure that the vehicle is in prime condition and does not drive sleepy.
"If you feel sleepy, please pull over and rest for a while. Also make sure the electronic money card is in good condition and the balance is sufficient before traveling. We agree that safety is number one," he added.
