Passenger Volume Continues To Increase, KAI Reminds Bagation Provisions During Christmas And New Year Holidays
PT KAI recorded a significant increase in passenger volume during the Nataru 2024/2025 period. Based on data today, Thursday, December 26 at 06.00 WIB, the number of train tickets JJ and local trains that have been sold for the Christmas and New Year 2024/2025 holiday period is 2,510,955 tickets from the total seating capacity provided by KAI is 3,572,588. "Of the 2,510,955 tickets sold, consisting of 2,139,083 JJ trains or 77 percent of the total number of seats available as many as 2,770,864 tickets. Local train sales have reached 371,872 tickets or 46 percent of the total number of seats provided, namely 801,724 tickets," said KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba, in a written statement.
The number of ticket sales will continue to change dynamically and increase, because sales are still ongoing. "For people who run out of tickets on the desired trip and travel hours, they can choose other train alternatives by immediately ordering through the Access by KAI application before getting used to it. In addition, KAI continues to remind again the provisions of baggage for train customers during this Nataru period," said Anne.
Anne said customers are allowed to carry luggage without being subject to duties with a maximum weight of 20 kg and a maximum volume of 100 dm3 with a maximum dimension of 70 x 48 x 30 cm and a maximum of 4 koli (bagitory system).
If during boarding at the station, customers are known to bring baggage that exceeds these provisions, they will be subject to duties of Rp. 10,000/kg for executive class, Rp. 6,000/kg for business class, and Rp. 2,000/kg for economic class.
Customer luggage can be placed on the baggage rack above the seat or placed in another place that does not interfere or endanger other customers and which does not cause damage to the train.
"The trunk bag is paid for, which weighs above 20 kg to a maximum of 40 kg and for volumes above 100 dm3 (70 x 48 x 30 cm) to a maximum of 200 dm3 (70 x 48 x 60 cm).
