Bandung Police Thwarts Circulation Of 9 Kilograms Of Crystal Methamphetamine

BANDUNG - Bandung City Police (Polrestabes) thwarted the circulation of 9 kilograms of methamphetamine by arresting two suspects.

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono explained that this disclosure began with the arrest of the suspect with the initials SP on December 13, 2024 in the Cibiru area, Bandung.

"We managed to apprehend two suspects and secured 9 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine which we arrested in the Cibiru area and development in the Bekasi area," Budi said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 23.

Budi explained that from the results of the examination, the police carried out developments in the Tambun area, Bekasi, where SP was known to have taken the methamphetamine.

At that place, the police managed to apprehend IS as a supplier of methamphetamine to SP and conducted an interrogation that directed the police to the perpetrator's rented house in the Rawalumbu area, Bekasi City.

"So from there we developed and were able to secure 6 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in rented houses and 2 kilograms in IS's hands," he said.

From the packaging of methamphetamine found, it is strongly suspected that the goods came from the international network.

"I see that from the package it is imported, it means that here we will develop it later because this is a dealer from abroad," said Budi.

For their actions, the two suspects were charged with Article 112 paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 concerning narcotics with a maximum sentence of life and a maximum fine of Rp. 10 billion.
