2024 AFF Cup Semifinals Schedule

JAKARTA - The 2024 AFF Cup will enter the semifinals on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Four teams have locked up places in the top four, namely Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines and Thailand.

The opening match of the semifinals will feature a duel between Singapore and Vietnam at the Sport Center Big Road Stadium, Kallang, on Thursday, December 26, 2024, WIB night.

Singapore managed to lock up a place in the top four of the 2024 AFF Cup with the runner-up status of Group A. That way, they will first host Vietnam who is the winner of Group B.

Even though Vietnam will be in the semifinals with the status of the visitors, The Golden Stars will be on the superior side. The reason is, they will appear with the composition of their best squad.

While in the host camp, Singapore is the opposite. They will encounter a bit of problems because some of the mainstay players cannot be called up to the national team.

However, Singapore could have made a surprise thanks to the direct support of supporters who would fill the stadium.

The day after the Singapore vs Vietnam match, the competition for final tickets will continue to the Philippines vs Thailand match on Friday, December 27, 2024.

The match will be held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, Philippines. As a team with runner-up status in Group B, the Philippines will first host Thailand, which is the winner of Group A.

Reflecting on the match against Vietnam and Indonesia, the Philippines has the potential to trouble the White Elephant team. Philippine collectivity also continues to climb from one match to another.

However, Thailand is still a strong candidate to win the AFF Cup. The record for collecting the most titles is the reason they are always the favorite of each edition, besides having the best FIFA rankings in ASEAN.

Meanwhile, the second leg will take place before the turn of the year.

Vietnam will host Singapore at the Viet Tri Stadium on December 29, 2024. Then, Thailand will receive the arrival of the Philippines on December 30, 2024.
