Anticipating Sritex's Layoffs, The Ministry Of Manpower Prepares A Number Of Steps To Submerge The Impact

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Manpower ensures that it will prepare a number of steps to anticipate if there are steps to cut Off employment (PHK) for a number of employees of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (SRIL) or Sritex.

Just so you know, previously Sritex had been declared bankrupt by the Supreme Court (MA).

"First, we will prepare JKP or Guarantee for Loss of Performance," said Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker), Immanuel Ebenezer at a press conference at the Ministry of Manpower Building, Monday, December 23.

Noel said, there will be several JKP schemes that will be prepared by the Ministry of Manpower for Sritex workers if at any time the company decides to lay off.

The second step, continued Noel, is to prepare a work market for affected workers,

"But that's the worst-case scenario. The worst-case scenario is when there are layoffs," Noel continued.

The third step is that training will be carried out at the Job Training Center (BLK) which is available, especially in Central Java, such as Semarang City and Solo City.

"So that in layoffs we can minimize layoffs that become monsters in fellow workers and workers or workers," added Noel.

Noel hopes that the anticipatory steps taken by the Ministry of Manpower can be a solution for employees or workers of PT Sritex. He also emphasized that the state through the Ministry of Manpower is always present with the workers.

"And my commitment is that. And we don't want the state and the businessmen to lose. Especially with a situation like this. We'll see a storm of layoffs everywhere," said Noel.

For information, previously Mahankamah Agung officially rejected the cassation filed by PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk alias Sritex (SRIL). In response to this, Sritex's management revealed that his party respects the decision of the Supreme Court (MA) and decided to take legal action to review it again (PK).

"We are taking this legal effort so that we can maintain business continuity, and provide jobs for 50 thousand employees who have worked with us for decades," said Sritex President Director, Iwan Kurniawan Lukminto in a statement to the media, Friday, December 20.
