FK ICS School Introduces Bengkulu's Original Dhol Music In The Kemenkebud RAYA Program
BENGKULU - Bengkulu School Fatma Kenanga Islamic Character School preserves local traditions and culture to its students. One of them is by introducing Dhol music art, the original culture of Bengkulu Province in the activities of Celebrating Indonesian Culture (RAYA) organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia on Friday, December 20.
"We want Dhol music to continue to exist and is also widely known in Indonesia. We are very proud of the appearance of FK ICS in this national activity. Our students can perform with other arts such as Gendeng Beleq from NTB, Saman Dance from Aceh and other arts," said School CEO Fatma Kenanga ICS Heri Budianto quoting ANTARA, Friday.
He appreciated the activities of Rayakan Budaya Indonesia (RAYA) organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia as a very good means to continue to introduce various cultures and arts throughout Indonesia.
"This activity is also the main means in training children to dare to appear and be creative. And this is in accordance with the objectives of the establishment of the FK ICS School," he said.

The SD and SMP FK ICS teams represented Bengkulu Province in this activity. This was after the FK ICS School was selected in the activity of the School Entrance Artist Movement (GSMS) throughout Bengkulu Province which was organized by the Bengkulu Education and Culture Office.
The music of Dhol is one of four arts from Bengkulu Province which was designated as Indonesia's Intangible Cultural Heritage (WBTB) in 2021.
Dhol musical instruments have been used in the series of cultural activities ofTEN Bengkulu every 1-10 Muharam. However, along with the development of the times, Dhol musical instruments are not only played when you touch them.
Now, Dhol musical instruments are used in various activities in Bengkulu Province. Dhol is one of the cultures of the pride of the Bengkulu people.
