It Is Estimated That The Peak Of The Christmas Homecoming Flow Is 14 Thousand Passengers In Hang Nadim Batam

JAKARTA - PT Bandara Internasional Batam (BIB), Riau Islands, the manager of Hang Nadim Batam International Airport, estimates that the peak of the homecoming flow at Christmas 2024 will reach 14 thousand passengers, Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Operations Director of PT Bandara Internasional Batam (BIB) Nugroho Jati in Batam, Saturday said, this increased by about five percent from the usual day with a daily passenger figure of 10 thousand people.

He added that in the 2024-New Year 2025 Christmas period, there were nine additional flights from the Super Air Jet and Batik Air airlines to Batam-Semarang, Batam-Yogyakarta, Batam-Jakarta.

"Normal flight movements are 95 trips. With nine additional flights to 104 flights per day," said Nugroho as quoted by ANTARA.

He conveyed that flight routes at Hang Nadim Batam Airport were dominated by the destinations of Jakarta, Medan, Pekanbaru, Palembang and Surabaya.

"This year's flight is less than last year, because last year the prediction of an increase reached more than 5 percent, around 7 percent," he said.

In addition, his party also ensures that all facilities at this airport are adequate ahead of the peak of the 2024-New Year 2025 homecoming flow.

Nugroho said, for terminal facilities that were previously still in the renovation process, work had been accelerated.

"Critical points such as waiting room, check in, inspection and others, Alhamdulillah, today the work has been completed. The new facility looks fresher, relieved, shop services, both retail and restaurant at the airport, are more varied, either inside or outside the terminal," he said.
