Dozens Of Houses In Palabuhanratu Sukabumi Damaged By Beach Abrasion
JAKARTA - The beach Abrasion that occurred in Palabuhanratu District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java caused dozens of houses to be damaged and some residents evacuated.
"We are still collecting data, but it is estimated that dozens of houses were affected by coastal abrasion and tidal waves that occurred in the southern region of Sukabumi Regency," said Head of the Emergency Section of the Sukabumi Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Medi Abdul Hakim quoting Antara.
According to Medi, his party is still waiting for further information from the sub-district disaster management officer (P2BK), because the disaster did not only occur in one location.
In addition, his party has assisted in efforts to deal with the impact of disasters, because in addition to focusing on dealing with the impact of abrasion and tidal waves, BPBD is trying to open road access in three sub-districts that still have disaster emergency response status, namely Tegalbuleud, Kalibunder and Pabuaran sub-districts.
Meanwhile, residents of Cipatuguran Village, Ujang Sudira, said that houses affected by abrasion were in RW 20 and 21. This beach laboratory has occurred since December 5, 2024 and until now the affected locations are increasingly widespread.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
There were about 10 houses that were severely damaged, although there were no casualties, the owner of the house had to flee to his family's house which was not far from the scene. This is done so that residents whose houses are affected can continue to monitor the condition of their homes at any time.
Feeling worried that the coastal abrasion would spread, he chose to evacuate his family and belongings to a safer place.
To prevent the spread of abrasion due to tidal waves, his party asked the relevant agencies to build embankments and repair those damaged due to being carried away by high tides.
