IPhone 16 Get Out Of The Way, Samsung Galaxy S25 Has Pocketed TKDN Certification

JAKARTA - First from Apple with the iPhone 16 series, the new Samsung series S, namely the Galaxy S25, has pocketed the Domestic Content Level (TKDN) certification of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin).

Based on VOI monitoring, three new Samsung series S devices with SM-S931B, SM-S936B, and SM-S938B codes have appeared on the official TKDN page of the Ministry of Industry.

The three codes are model numbers for the global version of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra, and already have a TKDN value of 37.50% and already support 5G.

However, it is not yet known when the Galaxy S25 series will be launched in Indonesia. Because, they still need Postel certification from the Ministry of Communication and Digital.

On the other hand, Samsung will reportedly integrate the latest wireless charging technology, Qi2, in the Galaxy S25 series which is scheduled for global release in January 2025.

If this news is true, Samsung will be one of the first Android big players to adopt this new standard, previously applied only to iPhones and one other Android device, HMD Skyline.

Qi2 is the evolution of Qi's wireless charging standard, which is widely used today. This technology adds a magnetic ring to the device to ensure precise alignment with wireless chargers.

In addition to increasing charging efficiency, this technology also opens opportunities for new accessories.
