IBL 2025 Season Rolls January 11, 14 Teams Enliven Competition

JAKARTA - The Indonesia Basketball League (IBL) 2025 season competition will soon take place on January 11, 2025. A total of 14 teams from various regions in the country will compete to win the title.

At the 2025 season, IBL will still use the same competition format as before, namely home and away. This is as revealed by Junas Miradiarsyah as Director of IBL.

"The IBL in 30 days will start with the same concept as the previous year, namely home and away."

"There are 14 teams that will prepare for next season," Junas said during a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday, December 12, 2024.

On the same occasion, Junas also mentioned that the development of basketball in the country continues to show positive developments from year to year.

One of the indicators of development that steals the most attention is the player transfer market.

"In terms of rules, it is not changed much, even said that nothing has changed except developments. With the development of IBL in recent years, we have reached the point we want," said Junas.

"The interesting thing is the player market indicator. Every year the IBL gets a good response. This year is even the highest record because there are 39 players who have filled the circulation of local players in Indonesia," he said.

With the player's rotation getting more dynamic, IBL 2025 will clearly present an increasingly heated competition. All participants were also motivated to win the title last year which was won by Pelita Jaya after defeating Satria Muda in the 2024 IBL final.
