Sabrina Carpenter Reveals Reasons For Not Distributing His Spotify Wrapped To The Public

JAKARTA - Many people have uploaded Spotify Wrapped on social media, which illustrates its habit of hearing songs on the platform in the past year.

As is known, Spotify Wrapped displays some personal data, such as the most played track list and the most heard artist.

Sabrina Carpenter, who made a big success through the album "Short n' Sweet" which was released last August 23, became one of the Spotify Wrapped stars this year.

Carpenter and his songs are on the list of many people, including for his own Spotify Wrapped. And that's the reason for not revealing it to the public.

In a recent interview with Vogue, the 25-year-old singer admitted that her Spotify Wrapped this year contains herself and her songs.

"When I first saw (Spotify Wrapped) belonged to me, my initial reaction was, 'Oh bad luck, I can't post it, because I'm on my own (list),' said Carpenter.

For Carpenter, he will look arrogant if he shows the results to the public. However, he saw the positive side, that he had done what he liked.

"But then I thought, 'I think it's good I'm also on my list and listening to my own music', because it means I like what I'm doing."

Furthermore, Carpenter also revealed several other musicians who were on its top list, namely Dolly Parton, ABBA, Kacey Musgraves, and Bee Gees.

For information, the single Espresso, which was released four months before the album "Short n' Sweet" was recorded with 1.6 billion streams on Spotify, making it the most-played song on the platform throughout 2024.
