Wamenpar: Lovina Beach Bali Needs To Be Developed To Attract Tourists
JAKARTA - Lovina Beach in Buleleng Regency, Bali needs to be developed in the future as quality and sustainable tourism.
This was said by the Deputy Minister of Tourism (Wamenpar) Ni Luh Puspa that Lovina Beach in Buleleng Regency, for the development of destinations that were once crowded with tourists.
"This tourism development takes time. For that, let's do it together with the collaboration of all parties involved to prepare adequate tourism activities and facilities to maintain the comfort and safety of tourists," said Ni Luh Puspa, quoted by ANTARA.
According to him, tourism development at Lovina Beach needs to be done in order to increase the stay of tourists (length of stay) which is expected to be able to have a greater economic impact on local communities. This effort is a step for the government to reach more tourists.
"We hope that this Lovina will become a touristy tourism destination, not mass tourism. So we have to switch the image of Bali tourism which may be known as cheap to quality tourism," said Ni Luh.
During a working visit to Lovina Beach, Ni Luh also visited a number of points. Starting from public toilet facilities, piers, the location of the plan to build culinary centers to pedestrian arrangement areas around the beach.
Responding to Ni Luh's statement, Deputy for Destination Development and Infrastructure of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Hariyanto, said that tourism development in the Buleleng area is one of the strategies to equalize the distribution of tourists visiting Bali Province.

"It has been launched on September 25, 2024, 3B tour packages, namely Banyuwangi-West Bali-North Bali as an effort to overcome over-concentrated tourism. Buleleng's potential is extraordinary, we believe Buleleng, especially Lovina Beach, is able to compete with other destinations in Indonesia," said Hariyanto.
The Buleleng Regency Tourism Office has stated their readiness to collaborate with the central government in tourism development in Buleleng Regency.
"We will map the infrastructure and internal access here to collaborate with the central government," said Head of the Buleleng Regency Tourism Office Gede Dody.
He added that his party would prioritize sea connectivity. "Hopefully by 2025, connectivity through fast boats can be realized".
