Santriwati In Rokan Hilir Died Of Poisoning, Police Intervene

PeKANBARU - Rokan Hilir Resort Police, Riau Province, investigated a case of suspected food poisoning that resulted in the death of a female student and 13 other people undergoing treatment at the hospital.

"Until now, we are still investigating further the case of alleged poisoning with the victims of 14 female students at the Bidayatuh Hidayah Islamic Boarding School, Ujung Tanjung," said Rohil Police Chief AKBP Andrian Pramudianto when confirmed by ANTARA in Pekanbaru, Thursday, May 16. It was also revealed that they were suspected of being poisoned after eating the dumplings purchased from outside the pesantren, Tuesday. The Rohil Police Criminal Investigation Unit team conducted an investigation of the scene at the Bidayatuh Hidayah Islamic Boarding School. The officers then brought evidence in the form of a bed sarong that had vomiting nodes, sleeping pillows, and food waste. Police have also confirmed to the Emergency Installation doctor athaya Medika Hospital dr. Handri. The doctor stated that the female was poisoned by food. "One of the female students named Safitri (16) was not saved and died yesterday, Tuesday (14/5)," he said.

Safitri's body was taken to the funeral home in the Maluka River Islands, Bangko Pusako District. Meanwhile, 13 other female students who are also poisoned are currently still being treated at Athaya Ujung Tanjung Hospital.
