Governor Zainal Signs MoU With ITDC To Develop Potential Tourism For Kaltara
TANJUNG SELOR - Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Zainal Arifin Paliwang emphasized that Kaltara has extraordinary economic and tourism potentials. As a province that is only 11 years old, Kaltara has natural beauty and cultural diversity.
"The potential of this tourism sector must be optimized to improve the welfare of the community", said Zainal, Monday, November 20.
Governor Zainal said that his party through the North Kalimantan Provincial Government had signed a cooperation agreement with the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) so that it could strengthen strategic partnerships in increasing investment in the tourism sector.
"This newly signed memorandum of understanding reflects the commitment of both parties to encourage investment in the tourism sector of Kaltara," he explained.
The Tanah Kuning area in Bulungan Regency and Amal Beach in Tarakan City will be the focus of development, with special attention to Tanah Kuning District which is related to the Green Industrial Estate (KIHI).
"(The Kaltara Provincial Government fully supports tourism development, realizing that collaboration with investors such as ITDC is the key to success," he said.
The governor is optimistic that through the successful ITDC portfolio of destination owners such as Nusa Dua Bali and Mandalika will be able to improve the quality of tourism in Kaltara.
"Kaltara is ready to make new achievements in the tourism industry with ITDC," he concluded.
