Japanese Version Of Honda WR-V Based On Elvenate, Cheaper Prices Than Indonesia

JAKARTA - Honda officially released its small-dimensional SUV, WR-V, for the Japanese market. This Japanese version of the WR-V model, known as the Eleve model, was introduced in the Indian market last June. It should be noted that this variant has a significant difference with the version sold in Indonesia.

According to a report from the paultan page, the SUV has a compact dimension, with a length of 4,312 mm, a width of 1,790 mm, a height of 1,650 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. Despite its compact size, the model offers 458 liters of baggage space.

In terms of exterior design, the front resembles the latest BR-V with a large front goal, thin headlights, and the back equipped with a light in the form of an L letter, similar to the WR-V model sold in Indonesia.

The Japanese version of the WR-V interior is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen that supports the infotainment system, including the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto operating features. There is also a seven-inch instrument cluster display.

The manufacturer also provides some storage space in the central console section, such as small cup holders and cubies flanking the persneling lever. Other features embedded in this SUV include Honda Connect with support for smartwatches, sunsets, reverse camera, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist, and Honda Sensing security technology.

The engine of the Elevate model is also used in this version, with a 4-cylinder 1.5 liter naturally-assisted engine capable of generating up to 119 dk of power and a 145 Nm torque. This machine will work closely with the CVT transmission system or manual six accelerations for front wheels (FWD) on Japanese specifications.

The Japanese version of the Honda WR-V will be available in three different variants, namely X, Z, and Z+, with a choice of five colors and additional accessories options through Honda Access. In Japan, this Honda WR-V will be valued at around 2 million yen or around Rp205.7 million.

Meanwhile, in Indonesia, Honda WR-V is sold at prices ranging from Rp269.9 million On The Road (OTR) Jakarta for variant E to Rp317.9 million for type RS with Honda Sensing.
