Residents Affected By Normalization Of The Cibanten River Can't Be Compensated
SERANG - The Cidanau River Basin Center, Ciujung, Cidurian (BBWSC3) Banten did not provide compensation to 80 residents whose houses were affected by the normalization of the Cibanten River, because the house was standing on state land.
"A total of 80 houses are along the banks of the Cibanten River, and dozens of houses stand on state-owned land," said Head of PJSA BBWSC Banten David Partonggo Oloan Marpaung as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 15.
He said the government could not provide compensation if the building was standing on state land.
His party will widen the Cibanten River starting from the Kenari Embankment to Mount Karet as an effort to normalize the river so that flooding does not occur.
"From the Kenari Embankment to Mount Karet, everything is normalized. Otherwise, we will widen the fear that the flood effect that used to occur again so that it has the potential for danger," he said.
Dalam rapat, David mengatakan Pemerintah Kota Serang memberikan solusi terhadap puluhan warga yang terdampak normalisasi Sungai Cibanten untuk direlokasi dan tinggal di Rusunawa Margaluyu, Kota Serang, Banten.

According to David, the Serang City Government with BBBWSC has not yet agreed and the results of this meeting will be submitted to their respective leaders in order to get the best solution.
"So today's meeting has no conclusion, we will first convey it to each other's leaders what the solution will be," he said.
