Need Capital And Not Approved For Regional Head Elections So The Motive For A Man From Batam To Kill His Wife Who Was Married To 2021
KEPRI - Head of the Barelang Police, Kombes Pol Nugroho Tri Nuryanto, revealed the motive for the suspect AY (46), the killer of his wife TRH (60) because he was not approved to run as a participant in the South Tapanuli Pilkada.
Victim AY is a former director of the Padang Sidempuan Regional General Hospital (RSUD), North Sumatra (North Sumatra).
"So, the motive is two; the first is because this suspect wants to run for the nomination of the South Tapanuli regent. He wants to get support from the victim in the form of capital to run for the nomination of the South Tapanuli regent, but his wife does not approve. Second, to control the victim's assets in the form of certificates, money and vehicles," said Nugroho in Batam, Riau Islands (Kepri), Wednesday, November 15, confiscated by Antara.
Nugroho explained that the suspect's failure to run for the future regent of South Tapanuli was because the suspect asked the victim for quite a lot of money.
"So, from what the suspect mentioned, he asked for Rp50 billion to support his candidacy to become regent," he said.
From that, the suspect was then triggered to kill the victim. From this case, it was also known that the suspect and the victim were a married couple who had just married in 2021.
"AY is a widower and the victim of TRH is a widow. They have only been married for about two years," added Nugroho.
Nugroho explained that the chronology of the murder began on Wednesday, November 1, at a house in Batu Aji, Batam City, where the suspect was upset because he did not get support to run for regional head in South Tapanuli Regency. The perpetrator tortured the victim to death.
After torturing the victim, the perpetrator left the victim and went with a woman to a hotel in Batam. The following day, Thursday, November 2, the perpetrator and his female friend returned home to confirm the condition of the victim.
"Seeing the victim still alive, the suspect panicked and planned the process of killing the victim after returning his mistress to the hotel. The suspect then made the murder incident as if the victim died in a house fire. In fact, he (the victim) had been killed first," said Nugroho.
