Salami Megawati At The KPU, Gibran: Respect Him

JAKARTA - Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka talked about the moment of shaking hands with the Chairperson of the PDI-P, Megawati Soekarnoputri while attending the draw for the cawapres presidential candidate serial number at the KPU.

According to Gibran, the shaking was only ordinary to honor Mega as the general chairman.

"Just be pious, respect him," said Gibran after the draw for the candidate pair serial number at the KPU, Tuesday, November 14.

Gibran was also mentioned about the Secretary General of the PDI-P, Hasto Kristiyanto. The mayor of Solo admitted that he did not say goodbye. Gibran said, shaking hands with Hasto was the same as Megawati.

"No (pamit, red). Salim," he said.

Without commenting much more, Gibran then left reporters.

Previously, Gibran was seen approaching Megawati with her sister who is also the General Chair of PSI, Kaesang Pangarep. Both of them were pious by lowering their heads and being accepted by Megawati. Even without smiling, Megawati still raised her hands to be greeted by President Joko Widodo's two children.

It is known, in tonight's serial number draw, Prabowo Subianto - Gibran Rakabuming Raka got number two. Meanwhile, Anies Baswedan - Muhaimin Iskandar number one and Ganjar Pranowo - Mahfud MD got number three.
