NasDem: One Round Presidential Election Impossible
JAKARTA - NasDem Party politician Ahmad Sahroni said it was impossible for the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections (Pilpres) to only be one round.
"I said on this date, there will never be a one-round presidential election," said Sahroni as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, November 10.
Sahroni said this when responding to Gerindra politician Andre Rosiade's statement who believed Prabowo-Gibran could win one round because various surveys stated that Prabowo-Gibran's electability was above 40 percent on average.
According to Ahmad Sahroni, the results of the 2024 General Election will only be determined after voting on February 14, 2024.
"Don't finally talk about the process. The election hasn't started to show that the candidate A won," said Sahroni.
He emphasized that the democratic party next year should be a place to compete in ideas and programs.
"The most important thing is that we fight together in a more professional and modern way," said Sahroni.
