Palembang Flyover Project Targeted To Be Completed In February 2024
PALEMBANG - Assistant II for Economic, Finance and Development of the Regional Secretariat of the South Sumatra Provincial Government, Basyarudin Akhmad, said that the flyover project for the Sepip Ujung flyover, Palembang City, is targeted for completion in February 2024.
"The progress of this flyover construction is 72.39 percent and is targeted for completion in February 2024 and inaugurated in April 2024 by the Minister of PUPR," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, November 10.
He explained that there was an extension of the work time until April 2024. This is because at the beginning of the construction there were several things that became obstacles, such as hampered land acquisition and related to utilities such as PDAM, electric cables, and gas pipes.
"Meanwhile, for the work on the drder block, it is targeted that everything will be installed until December 30, 2023. After the fittedirder, it will just have to be cast," he explained.
According to him, untukirder sudah ada di lokasi pengerjaan saat ini sedang dilakukan dragching atau ditarik dan pemasangan juga dilakukan siang hari.
"For February's soft launching and will be inaugurated in April by the Minister of PUPR. After the soft launch, it will be passed," he said.

The Sekip Ujung flyover was built to unravel the congestion that often occurs on Jalan Basuki Rahmad-Jalan RSUkamto and Jalan Amphibi-Jalan Angkatan 66 section, Palembang City.
The physical flyover work is carried out by the National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) of South Sumatra, Directorate General (Ditjen) Bina Marga with contractor PT Waskita Karya.
In addition, the Sepip Ujung flyover will also be decorated with local wisdom ornaments in Palembang City to beautify the building.
"The pedestrian will also use Palembang songket ornaments, the design is currently being proposed," said Basyarudin.
